I was tasked with researching what kind of multiplayer design in video games will create an optimal social experience for players and be well-received with other players; form tribes/guilds/teams to do gameplay-related activities together (e.g. raids, quests, defeat bosses)?
There were no particular requirements as to how I go about doing this research. The deadline was two weeks.
The following is my response to the question.
